Wham's obligatory cover version on this album is of Was (Not Was)'s rather rambling ballad, "Where Did Your Heart Go?" This was an unusual choice for George as it was a virtually unknown song by the Detroit based funk group, whowere not to find fame themselves until the late Eighties, with the likes of their hit "Walk The Dinosaur". Neither the music nor the lyrics are particularly in keeping with Wham!'s present racy style; only Andy Hamilton's moody sax break vaguely hints at their own creative input. After a hauntingly evocative intro, the track rapidly descends into a quagmire of impassioned wailing and shapeless, flat accompaniment. Despite the pseudo sophistication of the seductive late-night atmosphere, this cover is tame and repetitive with an ugly and unsingable chorus.
